Fees
Fees are guided by the recommended rate of the Australian Psychological Society.
Consultations are typically 50 minutes duration but shorter consultations are available. Fees are charged proportional to the hourly rate for contact (in person, phone or email) and report writing.
Fees are payable at the time of consultation. Accepted forms of payment are: cash, cheque, EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, Bankcard or electronic transfer.Compulsory Third Party and Workers Compensation claims are invoiced directly to the insurance company. If this applies to you, please note that written confirmation is needed from your insurance company prior to your appointment.
Rebates
Private Health Insurance: If you have extras cover, you may be able to claim part of the fees back from your health fund. In many cases, this can significantly reduce the cost of sessions. Since the amount you can claim back varies from fund to fund, and from cover to cover, it’s often good to check your entitlements with your health fund before commencing therapy.
Medicare: Medicare covers $110 per one hour session for a maximum of 12 sessions per calendar year if you have a medicare referral from your local doctor.
